ICANN ERP mail over verloopdatum van je domeinnaam

Het kan voorkomen dat je een wat cryptische Engelstalige mail krijgt met de onderwerpsregel ‘ICANN ERRP for the domain [en dan je domeinnaam]’. 

Dit bericht is zeker geen fake of phishing mail. ICANN is de wereldwijde organisatie die domeinnamen beheert en coördineert, samen met landelijke registers (zoals in Nederland het SIDN). Sinds enkele jaren sturen ze dergelijke herinneringsmails aan domeinnaamhouder.

Je hoeft je geen zorgen te maken, en ook geen actie te ondernemen: het verlengen van domeinnamen doen wij, gaat automatisch totdat je de dienst bij ons opzegt.
